This role involved all the aspects of being an Activity Instructor, with the added responsibilities of being a Duty Manager and a member of the management team overseeing up to 50 staff. As part of the Senior Instructor role, I was fully first aid trained, high ropes rescue trained, and oversaw the training and assessment of new and existing staff. Trained to deliver all activities offered at Sherwood Pines. Each activity required different skill sets, though all required enthusiasm, patience, and a dynamic approach to work. I was responsible for delivering safety briefings to customers and confirming their learning and understanding before they embarked on their adventures. During this time, I also had an active role in managing bookings and payments and end-of-day duties.
