IST 210, Organization of Data, is the introduction to concept of databases including the storage, manipulation, evaluation, and display of data and related issues. IST 210 aims to prepare students for obtaining fundamental understanding on the database concepts and practical skills to analyze and implement a well-defined database design. In particular, IST 210 provides an introduction to physical database design, data modeling, relational model, logical database design, SQL query language, and instructors’ choices on database applications and advanced concepts.

  Responsible for designing a new application to promote events with the Global Office. The office is responsible for the well being of the 6,693 international students attending Penn State. Every month the office is arranging events specifically targeting international students. During my time here, I was responsible for initiating a new platform that would make it easier to communicate these events with students. I designed a prototype with Wordpress, and a 2nd prototype in Drupal, and the Global Office are using these prototypes when they will launch their new website.
