Kaari stands out from her colleagues as an exceptional leader and hard worker. I highly recommend Kaari based on her tenacity, resourcefulness, and positive attitude. I worked with Kaari at City Parks Foundation, where she was originally hired as a part-time Education Fellow. During her first six months at CPF Kaari proved herself to be an outstanding educator by developing creative lessons, building positive relationships with her students and colleagues, consistently acting as a role model, and cultivating curiosity and inquiry in her students. Kaari was hired full-time by CPF and continued to excel as an Educator and Program Manager. She is attentive to detail and organized, which was evident when she planned conservation service-learning projects for urban youth in all 5 boroughs of New York City. Kaari built many community partnerships to benefit her students and allow opportunities such as kayaking on the East River, planting in Jamaica Bay wildlife refuge, and removing invasive Japanese Knotweed along the Bronx River. Kaari is both knowledgeable and passionate about the environment, and shares this enthusiasm with her students. In a fast-paced and challenging work environment, Kaari is always resourceful and adept at problem-solving. As a hard-working and flexible professional, Kaari is often called upon to help other programs. When an unexpected change in staffing occurred, Kaari rose to the task and helped out in addition to her regular work responsibilities. She is a true team player and an asset to any workplace.
