Founded by my great-great-grandfather in 1895, Kirlin Lighting has been an innovator in lighting fixture design and manufacturing for 125 years. From the incandescent electric lights of the 1890s to LEDs and controls today, Kirlin has mastered each evolution in lighting technology to create high-quality state-of-the-art luminaires for healthcare and architectural applications. All products are designed and manufactured in our Detroit, MI headquarters. Kirlin's recent product innovations address infection control in hospitals, durable elegance in steam rooms and saunas, and the health benefits of color-tunable lighting in any space where people live, work, or play. Three Cornell Tech classmates and I founded Otari in 2019 to bring studio-quality bodyweight workouts home with the world's most advanced smart exercise mat. Combining hardware, software, and input from world class instructors, we used AI and computer vision to provide real-time constructive feedback in the instructors' voice. The company was acquired in December 2020 by Peloton Interactive, Inc.
