With 2days we built a stunning app and website that made it easier for people in Amsterdam to be spontaneous, by offering the easiest way to discover the best events for the next days. We made it possible to book tickets directly in the app in just a few taps - simpler and quicker than anywhere else on the market. The app grew quickly to being used by almost 10% of the Amsterdam population and has been very well received by our users and in the press. The company has since pivoted to a B2B service company, in combination with Pink-Tie, a top-notch direct ticketing platform for theaters - providing the most user friendly ticketing platform and best service in the market. We power strong platforms such as www.lastminuteticketshop.nl. • COO and Head of New Product Development
      • Oct 2012 - Feb 2014

Innovative Travel is a start-up specialized in hotel meta-search for and where I am end responsible for IT and new product development. We compare offerings of hundreds of travel sites in order to provide full transparency on hotel prices, and I have led the project to automate the creation of online marketing campaigns in over 15 languages for over 400.000 individual hotels; a function which allowed the company to scale significantly over the past year. Exploring my entrepreneurial skills and aspirations, I drove all recruitment efforts over the past year and am very proud of the excellent team we have gathered. Of additional work in product development, I have also led the introduction of our new website design, our first mobile app, and a large-scale project to replace the Google AdWords Editor with our own software based on the AdWords API. • Product Manager - Refrigerated Container Management
      • Nov 2011 - Oct 2012

In the refrigerated container (reefer) management team I was responsible for the global strategy and marketing of one specific container type, representing over $200m in assets. The team has the global responsibility for all of Maersk Line’s refrigerated containers, sets the strategy on where to employ the containers in periods of scarcity and decides on which areas to grow the reefer activities – so for this I was in almost daily communication with marketing and sales managers around the globe. Additionally, I was trained in the Green Belt and lean methodology and was the commercial lead for a very innovative project to significantly reduce customers’ cold storage facility costs. Show less

    • Sales Strategy Manager in Key Client Management
      • Nov 2010 - Nov 2011

As part of the Key Client Management Team during my first year in Maersk Line's management traineeship my aim was to deliver the best possible value proposition to Maersk Line's largest clients (mostly Fortune 500), representing 40% the company’s total volume. Personally I was responsible for analyzing and communicating management information of the key client sales performance to all top-level stakeholders within Maersk Line, including the management board, on a weekly basis. Other main achievements in this role were that I created and introduced a new business planning tool, that became actively used by Key Client Managers across the globe, as well as a global key client dashboard so that selected strategic stakeholders around the world are better aligned and up-to-date on our dealings with specific clients. I also provided commercial support to our key client managers and hosted numerous meetings with decision makers at these Fortune 500 customers. Show less
