Bio
Danielle Chouhan
I worked for Chris on several long-term, complicated projects and despite the complexity and often high-stress moments of the projects, I have never felt more successful and indeed, enjoyed the work more. This is almost entirely due to the incredible management style and the natural leadership skills Chris displays. He has an excellent ability to read people and assemble a balanced team with unique skill sets. He knows exactly when to give space and when to rein folks in and lend a hand. I found that I was able to really work better in the project by being able to use Chris as a resource and brainstorm and bounce ideas. This kind of management really propels team members and the overall project into success by fostering self-confidence and self-reliance, allowing everyone to really work at their own personal best in contributing to the overall whole. I would welcome the opportunity to work with Chris again on any project and can recommend him without any reservations.

Chris was Manager of Language Solutions Development when I was Director of the Research and Development Department at Berlitz. Chris was charged with managing the development of French, German and Spanish programs each with multiple components, as well as managing freelance contributors on many lesser taught languages. Chris’s tasks encompassed budgeting, recruiting project teams, creating development plans, collaborating with colleagues across the organization (50+ countries) to collect needs and requirements and then working closely with writers and editors to develop the programs. All these tasks required very varied skills and the ability to connect with multiple contributors to bring the programs to fruition according to aggressive timelines. Chris managed the work very successfully through his linguistics expertise, his knowledge of multiple languages, his strong work ethic and his ability to relate well to colleagues across geographies, departments and roles. I would definitely recommend Chris for other similar roles.
