I was one of Sarah's supervisors at Colorado Legal Services. Sarah is organized and detail-oriented. She is thoughtful and able to take initiative but also knows when to seek guidance. I was impressed with how Sarah interacted with clients struggling with mental health. She was a patient and calming presence in those interactions often able to connect with clients even when they were visibly upset. I observed Sarah's strong working relationships with her colleagues. She was always willing to jump in and help whenever necessary. Sarah often agreed to take on extra projects and was always willing to go above and beyond. I enjoyed working with Sarah and thinks she will be an asset wherever she ends up.

Sarah supported our Access to Justice program at Towards Justice in Fall 2017. She is a rock star! Sarah is proactive and an independent worker but asks questions when needed. She jumped in wherever support was needed, was patient and kind with community members seeking help, and supported us in streamlining our processes. Sarah was a wonderful asset to our team and wish we could have her back! I also had the pleasure of watching Sarah work diligently on her Spanish speaking skills and by the end of her time with us she was conducting 45 minute interviews completely in Spanish. Sarah's genuine passion for supporting her community is tangible and I am excited to see where she goes next!
