Michaela is an exceptionally bright and talented girl and her application of the law is of a very exceptional standard. It was a huge privilege to work alongside her and she will succeed in the path that she wants to take. She is a huge credit to both the Law Society and the Street Law Societies and contributing extensively to both societies. Michaela was a pleasure to work with and I wish her all the best in her successes. If you require any additional references on Michaela, please do not hesitate to contact me

Having worked at Dunelm for almost three years, the opportunity arose for me to have a new position within the store. This new position requires me to manage the till points and customer service desk. I was placed on the step up team leader programme meaning that upon completion, I would be a key holder and run the store on my own when the manager is not present. As a step up team leader I had to manage the team, do management, budget, till and safe reports as well as cashing up at the start and end of the working day. Having obtained a full time job at Bray & Bray, I now work Saturdays at Dunelm as a Customer Service Champion. Show less

During my part time work at Dunelm, I have gained several valuable skills. As well as exceptional customer service, I am required to do tasks such as; handling money, giving change and giving refunds. My role at Dunelm often requires me to think on my feet, finding the best solutions to the customer’s problems. I have also previously been the head of the kitchen, utility and electrical department, this means that I was solely responsible for the standards, pricing and merchandise excellence of said departments. I feel that this position, and in particular, its insight into merchandising, has accelerated my commercial awareness. Show less

For five days I attended work experience at H Pipes & Co. During this placement, I got a real insight into the workings of a firm and particularly into the effective management of files in accordance with the Lexcel practice management standard. From 3rd-7th March, I returned to Edward Hands and Lewis for more work experience. This time, I assisted the commercial, employment and litigation teams and gained great insight into all three departments. I dealt with a variety of things during the week including; some first registrations of property to go the land registry, compiling the relevant documents and filling out the correct paperwork, I also re drafted a management contract and terms and conditions, complied a mortgage advice letter, complied a statement of defence and counterstatement to send to the Intellectual Property Office, researched the law for employment cases, wrote blogs on a variety of topics and much more.
