I have know Charles at work and personally for many years now and I highly recommend him. He has always be an innovative problem solver on technical issues as well as personal matters. In a mediator roll he would be great a finding the middle ground that others can not see.

Charles R. Hogge was my mentor for four years at Alcatel - Lucent Systems. I consider him as one of my best mentors during my 20-year carrier in both industry and academia. He was an excellent engineer looking at every detail and considering every possible approach. He always had a great insight in finding possible design errors. His friendly approach in communicating with everyone made him very approachable. He was always very sensitive, kind, and good listener. I truly enjoyed working with Charles and I always considered him as someone who could explain the unexplainable. I highly recommend Charles for any design position; he will be a great asset for the company.

Responsible for developing new products and integrating products brought from California with those developed in Raleigh. Obtained a major contract for an all-solid-state microwave system to span the Transco pipeline between Newark, N.J. and Houston, Texas. The stringent specifications required significant improvements in the equipment - which were achieved to the satisfaction of a very demanding and pleased customer.
