Research and Development of silver-based conductive inks for metallization of silicon solar cells.Project management, collaboration with development and production sites, initiation of external collaborations, intellectual property, glass science, ink formulation and rheology, electrical characterization of solar cells

    • Research Scientist
      • Aug 2012 - Oct 2014

My job was part of a new photovoltaic (PV) project in JM. My main role was to bring glass expertise for silver conductive pastes used for the metallization of silicon solar cells. On a daily basis, I organized my time to:- Create and synthesize new lead-free glasses;- Make conductive inks with these glasses;- Set-up printing facilities to assess the quality of the pastes;- Set-up characterization facilities to assess efficiency of the pastes (with contact resistance measurements, realization of I-V curves, etc.);- Provide analytical support to colleagues who are in charge of the development phase- Understand the role of the different components of the pastes in the overall efficiency;- Improve the materials and processes used;- Propose innovative solutions for reaching our goals;- Remain updated to innovations with a scientific watch.
