MASA provides certification and continuous development for the marketing profession, standardised, independent and expertly managed research instruments, is at the forefront of recognising and celebrating marketing excellence and ensures oversight of industry practice, policy, and legislation. As CEO, my job is to strategically lead, manage, promote, and build the reputation and impact of MASA to elevate the professionalism of marketing and represent and protect the business interests of marketers, lead the promotion of professional and ethical marketing practices, the adoption of common standards, self-regulation, and independent and credible marketing industry research. Further, ensure that MASA provides industry-wide leadership, support, and mentorship to drive the broader aims of marketers and their businesses across all spheres in South Africa. Ultimately, key outcomes are that MASA should continue to grow and maintain its membership base, obtain adequate funding, while ensuring alignment to good corporate governance.
