Responsibilities • Design optimised solutions for VAS systems, based on requirements from MTN Business. • Make decisions regarding capacity planning based on; current capacities, forecasted subscriber increases and financial viability. • Interact closely with vendors to ensure that solutions are delivered in accordance with the technical requirement and on schedule. • Provide input on technical related components of supply, hardware and support contracts between MTN and various vendors. • Maintain system documentation detailing the architecture, capacity, utilisation and project roadmap for the following systems: • IVR (141 Self-Service) • Ring Back Tones (CallerTunez) • Magic Voice • Religious Portal Highlights • Redesigned the 141 Prepaid IVR in order to optimise the layout and enhance the user experience. The application was also optimised by recreating it in a modular fashion to increase the reuse of code. • Deployed a server that aggregates statistics from various servers and stores the information in a database. A GUI was also created to present the data to users. • Designed an IVR capable of making outbound calls to subscribers. The machine is used to notify subscribers whose accounts are in arrears.
