I had the privilege of working for Lisa first as a graduate teaching assistant, and later as a supervisor of undergraduate teaching labs. The first thing I noticed was how passionate Lisa was about education, and how deeply she cared about the the many students that come through the lab program. Lisa worked hard to implement a lab program that was pedagogically rigorous, as well as fun, for students. As a manager, Lisa has come up with innovative and creative ways to ensure that the labs were run safely and efficiently, and within budget. Her organization and attention to detail were invaluable assets, given the volume of courses and students that attend the lab courses each semester. Finally, Lisa was a wonderful boss and mentor. She was fair with her praise and criticisms, and was always generous with her time and advice. I appreciated very much how she always made me feel like I am an important part of the team. Given her experience, skills, and qualities, I highly recommend Lisa, as she would be a great asset to any organization.

Lisa provides invaluable advice and instruction as an educator and mentor. She has a thoughtful and structured approach to teaching that extends beyond lectures and office hours. I found her lectures to be clear and meaningful with real world examples that prompted regular question and answer sessions from the larger group. I would recommend her courses to any student that is ready to look at the material in new and interesting ways and is serious about gaining a deep understanding of the course content.
