After the back of a cancellation of a major event by our team in March 2020 for obvious reasons at this time (we had circa 100 attendees) we needed content for our Virtual Series to be held via Microsoft Teams. Late on Friday night, 11:30pm and 8:30am Saturday Ben was helping to direct me to the resources at Microsoft and we successfully found the required assets! Fantastic support and our partnership is now on a new footing!

      I eventually came back to Tomkin after an opportunity arouse to help implement their new ERP system. This was a steep learning curve and I thrived. Here I leaned about process writing, systems management, staff training, business strategies and budgets. I have great business insights and could quickly develop new strategies in this new role and often came up new new ways and process that are still in use today. I proposed a new system to streamline pick paths and packing processes helping to reduce the error count and increase customer satisfaction. Under this system we were able to reach a milestone in October 2014. Sales growth was directly connected to the 5 massive catalogues I helped create. I was able to put into place all the skills I had learned from my previous roles. This is where l learned how to analyse and quantify products and how to best present to market our business offering. My main responsibilities were to maintain the IT systems and business continuity at Tomkin but towards the end of my employment I was closely working with the managing director helping with reporting, budgets, business intelligence and business strategy. My role changed from CTO to unofficially COO I was heavily involved in all aspects of the business. This new role helped hone my skills in sales strategies, product development, marketing budgets, asset management, vendor negotiations, transport cost savings to name a few. I consider myself a very hard working, positive, quick thinking professional with great business intellect whom loves a new challenge. Show less

      After my success in selling newspaper advertisements and newly found design skills in the graphic design team I decided that I should go and sell the systems that I was using.
