At Sprint, I began as a full-stack software engineer and quickly became involved in handling the operations side of the engineering department, setting up logging and monitoring solutions, making broad infrastructure changes, and revamping the system architecture to bring better resilience and performance.Part of my responsibilities also included mentoring and developing junior members of the team. This was relatively easy for me, as the engineers in question were all bright, hard-working, and eager to learn.I left Sprint in August 2020 to pursue a role at Torn LTD, a company building a web-based MMORPG. Since a teenager, I have been passionate about both MMORPGs and web technology, so the opportunity to work at a company building a web-based MMORPG was too good to pass up, in spite of the amazing team I would be leaving behind at Sprint.

In order to facilitate a move from Hamburg to Lübeck, I transitioned from permanent employment to contract work. Following on from that move, I moved back to Tewkesbury, England, to be closer to my support network due to health problems. At Neural Technologies I work with Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, Kendo-UI, and several SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, and Redis) to provide web-based solutions to clients. I am responsible for driving projects forward, and have the freedom to innovate at my own pace and in whichever direction I believe is best for the project(s) I am working on. I find this freedom to be both exciting and challenging, and appreciate the opportunity I have been given. As a founding member of Item 42 I helped to develop the company's interests during the early stages of its inception. I stepped down due to my geographical distance from the project and busy schedule precluding me from contributing in any meaningful way, however I keep myself actively involved and interested in the continued growth and development of the studio via my close personal friendship with the two other founders. At Kambi I have worked primarily as a frontend engineer on projects using Backbone, Angular and React. I've also developed NodeJS solutions and worked with some Java projects (one of which used GWT as a frontend framework). Throughout my time here I have worked with UX engineering and backend engineering, as well as working closely with the it operations team, who I get on well with.
