  I was responsible for adding new features to the AVAYA softphone, manual testing, and writing technical documentation. I implemented some of the functionality for a controller that would interface between VoIP hardware phones at a client site and a GUI hosted on a remote server which would be accessed by staff to manage their call sessions using RDP. Some of the features I was responsible for were: muting calls; enqueuing and putting calls on hold; writing multithreaded code to manage conference calls. I also made use of QT to write simple client-side GUIs that could be used as a fall-back in case a connection with the server couldn’t be established. Show less
