Davis Brody Bond is one of the nations leading architectural design firms. Founded in 1952, the firm has been recognized with over 200 design awards including the American Institute of Architects' Firm Award. Projects include the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center, New York University's Paulson Center, and US Embassies in Jakarta, Pristina, and Mexico City. At the firm I am active in both Marketing and Studio. In Marketing, I co-lead strategy and execution for marketing, business development, and public relations. My focus is leading design submissions for proposals and competitions, crafting design narratives and graphics, coordinating publication and award submissions (including FAIA submissions) as well as general press outreach. I oversee the interview process for new work including creating custom decks and coaching our staff for each interview. I also represent the firm and our projects outside the office. In Studio, my participation book-ends most project timelines. I often work on a project from inception, regularly participating in design approaches, competitions, programming studies, and concept design phases. My involvement carries through Design Development and has included coordinating design submittals for public agency approvals. At the end of a project, I oversee the production of project collateral aimed at press, awards submittals, and future marketing use, focusing on photography, publication worthy drawings and diagrams, and project related narratives.
