During my time in the U.S. Air Force, I had the privilege of working under Channing while he was the Mission Scheduler for the Executive Aircraft Security section at Joint Base Andrews. During his time in that position, Channing ensured that the right Airmen were assigned for the hundreds of missions that he oversaw to provide aircraft security for the Vice President of the United States, First Lady of the United States, cabinet secretaries and Department of Defense leadership. When serving as a team lead for the section when he flew on these missions, Channing not only performed the requirements of his position in ensuring the safety and security of billions of dollars worth of government aircraft, but he also ensured the well being of the Airmen on his teams. He always put his Airmen first while they were operating in austere, and sometimes hostile, environments all around the globe. Channing is the epitome of a leader with his selfless mindset and impeccable work ethic. He leads by example and inspires everyone around him with many team awards to prove it. It is because of leaders like Channing that the United States Air Force is as powerful as it is today.

From my observations over the years, Channing has excelled as a leader and into a mid-level management position over the Investigations section, which is the Air Force version of a detective agency. His prior experiences included being the lead security agent for multi-million dollar aircraft that transported the Vice President of the United States and many high ranking military and government leaders as well as leading a shift of law enforcement and security patrol officers supporting the integrated defense of one of the nation's most important airfields in the Department of Defense where he was responsible for the security of the 17,000 personnel who lived, worked and visited on a daily basis. He has won many leadership awards for his stellar performance and was the first choice to fill his current position as the lead investigator.
