      I researched, planned and completed this 2,194.3 mile hike across 14 states in 6 months, achieving this long-term goal by using short-term check points to remain on track for completion. While on the AT, I observed and responded to variable weather patterns based on altitude and environment and experienced the impact of different pollutants (noise, light, air, waste) in each state.
