Sam was not my direct report, but someone I reported to in my role as Director of Outdoor Education. I always found Sam to be approachable, considered and fair. Sam was willing to have discussions and offer insights that helped me perform my job to higher standard. Sam made me feel like a valued member of the workplace. Whilst not part of his role, and perhaps not something Sam realised, but he mentored me, especially in my early years at the College. It was a pleasure to work with Sam.
