With a presence in over 100 countries, Saipem is among the largest oil and gas turnkey contractors in the world. In Canada, Saipem is a significant player in the oilsands and responsible for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction for projects such as CNRL's Horizon and Husky Sunrise.As Project Engineer for CNRL Hydrotreaters Ph, 3, I successfully coordinated the various technical disciplines and project functions (i.e. procurement, post-order) such that quality, time, and cost targets were met. This was achieved by tight control over the planning and scheduling of engineering deliverables and strong leadership in the case of technical disputes in order to obtain a swift resolution.

As Field Project Engineer, I was the liason between home office engineers and onsite construction personnel. I was responsible for resolving design matters and identifying site non-conformities to ensure that construction satisfied all engineering requirements. In this time I dealt with the pouring of piles and foundations, the placement and interconnection of 120 modules in addition to the erection of a substation and fired gas heater.

I created and developed Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing packages including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), site plans, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and isometric drawings. In addition I carried out project managment functions such as project scheduling and cost estimations.
