Corinne was one of a kind, hard working, goal oriented, and highly functioning employee. In every roll she had here at the UCSB Annual Fund she proved herself to be elite. She raised over a $100,000 for her university as a Student Ambassador when she initially came here. This performance is in the top 1% of students that come into work at the Annual Fund. She was so good we promoted her to become a supervisor and she excelled in that role also. She is a great leader and was always a motivating force in getting her team to excel. Her management experience and fundraising skills make her able to thrive in any environment. She was one of our best employees and will be a great benefit to any work environment.

To Whom it may concern, I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Corinne Hayhurst, a past employee of mine at the UC Santa Barbara Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is a non-profit annual giving program designed to solicit constituents for philanthropic support to UCSB. These donations help to support programs and department campus wide. Corinne’s work here was valuable and went a long way in helping the Annual Fund and UCSB accomplish many vital tasks to secure the University’s fundraising goals. Corinne started as a student caller, where she shined immediately. In just a few months she raised more than $100,000 over the phones. To put them in some perspective the average employee raises about $3,000. While she was successful on the phones it was Corinne’s clear leadership qualities and confident nature that led her to become one of our best shift supervisors and ultimately a staff leader. Corinne trained and mentored hundreds of employees during her time as a supervisor. She had a kind yet motivated spirit that inspired both her peers and me as her supervisor. As an employee she had a spotless record. She was never late, always productive, and simply put she was everything an employer could ask for. On a personal note, Corinne was a joy to work with and put her heart and soul into the time that she spent working for the Annual Fund. I am convinced she would do the same with any other endeavor she undertook. I feel honored to attach my name to her and would gladly recommend her for any position she seeks out. Sincerely, Brandon Friesen Director of Development, Annual Giving University of California, Santa Barbara

The UCSB Annual Fund reaches thousands of UC Santa Barbara alumni, parents, and friends who express their support for the university through gifts to the Annual Fund.
