Morton Fraser is a leading Scottish Law Firm which focuses on providing clear legal advice to individuals and families, businesses and the public sector. We have offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London and have clients based across the UK and beyond. We have one of the largest Public Sector Teams in Scotland and work across all divisions to meet the particular needs of our clients. We act for Local Authorities, the Governments of Westminster and Holyrood as well as public sector partner organisations across the UK. I head up the team which delivers services to Public Sector Partners, such as Registered Social Landlord's and Non-Departmental Public Bodies and help to advise third sector clients on their role within the public sector. Having joined Morton Fraser in 2003, I focused on real estate, primarily for public sector clients until 2010, before specialising in more complex public sector contracting arrangements. I now advise clients on delivery models as well as public procurement. I have advised clients on a wide range of projects across a range of sectors, including:- ▪ affordable housing ▪ economic development ▪ education ▪ health care, and ▪ ports and harbours I also have a great deal of experience in drafting bespoke agreements for public sector funding packages including the distribution of European Structural Funding through the Rural Development Programme and for the More Homes Division of the Scottish Government . Through clear drafting I am able to ensure that each party is aware of their obligations and to ensure that the public purse achieves best value and is protected from improper use. My focus is always on the particular risks, both legal and reputational, that my clients face on a daily basis.
