I love working with talented folks who elevate the work by taking a step back to gain better context, asking meaningful questions, putting aside preconceived notions and judgments, and giving thoughtful feedback. Patrice brings all of that and so much more to every endeavor. We worked together on designing a session on 'self-leadership and empathy' for senior leaders at Shopify, and Patrice approached the work with deep curiosity, humility, an attitude of service, and simplifying complex leadership frameworks. It was an absolute joy to work with her, and her contributions were instrumental in creating space for leaders to absorb the information and up-level their leadership practitioner journey. For the leadership work geared specifically towards racialized leaders at Shopify, she showed up with an ear to listen and demonstrated what a good ally looks like.
