Y’s is a design and printing company who specialised in the high speed digital printing and designing the promotional displays including posters and billboards, balloons and flags.Clients include Amusment places such as Pachinko (Japanese pinball and slot machine parlor) and Karaoke.Responsibilities- Working in the fast paced environment handling multiple taskes including developing concepts, graphics and layouts for the promotional displays including posters and inside outdoor advertisement such as balloon, flag and billboards.- I also attended assembling and placing advertisements. This experience tought me not only the production process but also how viewrs and users interact with design and the importance of design with hierarchy, consistency and legibility.Achievements- As last minute job requests were common, I gained excellent time management skills which were imperative to keep up with the fast paced environment. For example, I have had to concept and design a master and roll it out to 10 different sizes including billboards, all in the same day. I made every process as efficient as possible. I created my own template that allowed me to layout the artwork automatically, ready to be printed, instead of having to do it manually every time.- I have worked across multiple mediums such as print, outdoor and digital media allowing me to understand the production process including optimising graphics, compression settings and file size and image optimisation.
