  First as Operation Planning Officer; planning and coordinating Special Police Department units' tasks. From April 2009, D/Chief and later Chief of IMC; collecting and analyzing information about protected principals, locations, events, organized groups etc for the use of EULEX Special Police Department's units when planning their tasks, making threat assessments on persons, locations, events. The last 1,5 years of the mission the Chief of IMC, in charge of the whole unit's responsibilities. Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission

• Head of District (DO5, Batticaloa)

  First a Cease Fire Monitor, then promoted to Deputy Head of District and finally to Head of District of SLMM DO5. In charge of one of the 6 SLMM District Offices in Sri Lanka. Monitoring, inquiring and reporting about the possible Cease Fire Agreement violations; mediating between the parties - SL Government Forces and The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) - and cooperating with other International organisations in the AOR.
