I worked with George for 7 years at USS. George is an excellent troubleshooter and is especially skilled at implementing systems within the manufacturing environment. George is thorough in his methods in testing applications. On numerous occasions, we called upon George to guide operations and users as on new systems. George was always able to turn around situations that were not going well.

The vision engineer at Avery Dennison inspects, configures and troubleshoots using a Dr. Schenk camera system for inspecting Supreme Wrap Film. In this role EasyInspect and EasyMeasure software tools are used to capture the defects. Recipe tuning of every product is very important with the goal of tuning each camera channel to 128 grey value. The 128 grey value is in the middle of the grey value scale (0-255). It allows the computer system to detect defects above or below the 128 grey value. Defect identification and verifying with the machine operator is the test of a successful recipe. The defect images need to be loaded into a defect library and classified. Once classified, the system starts to learn the defects and identifies them. The verification is watching the roll map detect the defects on the computer screen display and seeing the same defects on the product. Show less
