Before the pandemic, Contracts, Forecasting, Banquet Halls, Catering, Prospecting, Event Orders, Banquet Checks, Room Blocks, SMERF Segment, Accountability was my everyday in the hotel! I have such a passion for Operations, nothing is ever more rewarding than watching a project go from start to finish. Regularly exceeded sales goals, high retention rates, excellent GSS scores, I maximized our profit margins by reevaluating our current pricing model and sourced products locally to retain additional profits. Nurtured multiple relationships with local community organizations such as but not limited to— The Crossroads Chamber of Commerce and the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority. Front Desk Guest Lead Supervisor
-
Oct 2017 - Apr 2018
As an extended stay hotel, mostly comprised of displaced families due to fire and floods, it was our number one priority to make sure that our Orland Park location felt like home every time our guests walked in the door! Our Monday-Thursday Socials with Jimmy were such a blast! I developed new organizational methods, training guides, audit pack organization, repriced the snack shop, developed SOP’s and re-ignited the passion for opportunity! Guest scores had gone up as much as 30-40%! I am very proud to have watched those numbers grow and help my team to develop into their future roles! Show less

Aug 2013 - Jun 2014
Assistant to Professor Jon Kassel, Substance Use Research Lab, we focused our research on Drug's Effects on Emotion, and Attention, Individual Differences in Drug Dependence, Cognitive Models of Depression, Anxiety, and Drug Use, running studies, hosting group survey sessions, inputting the data into SPSS to study the campus alcohol consumption patterns to determine why UIC has remained a school with the lowest substance abuse history. I contributed certain excerpts into Jon Kassel’s publication for the American Psychological Association, which was then later published alongside Jon Kassel and Michael Palmeri on behalf of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Landscape Design, Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences
-
Jun 2009 - Mar 2011
Summer/ Winter Vacation Greenhouse Volunteer, Landscape Design Competitions, Floral Design Team, Greenhand Degree. Horticulture class at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences was such a rewarding experience. I competed on a professional level and prepared a creative landscape as a class to be shown at the Annual Chicago Flower and Garden Show at Navy Pier. Our capstone project was to partner with other Pathways “Subjects”: such as Ag Finance and Animal Science, Woodshop as well as our Kitchen. We all came up with a garden that depicts two typical Chicago backyards, in which one neighbor is a Sox fan and the other is a Cubs fan. Each neighbors yard was either full of beautiful variations of blue and red flowers or black and white! Through the assistance of Andrea Briney, Horticulture teacher, Landscape Designer, Mentor and jack of ALL trades, each pathway of the school (you get to pick your pathway) gained experience drafting, buying wholesale, pricing, managing an on-site fresh market fully supplied by fresh produce produced by the farm that students manage, managing revenue and sales from plant sales, installing sod, laying brick, installing a golf course and irrigation, leveling sand, installing fences, plant propagation, handling, pesticide certification practice, marketing, advertising, design, color theory, photography, depth of fields, symmetry. It was amazing gaining hands on experience with a start to finish project that was fully funded by student earnings. Show less
