I had the pleasure of working with Yuliya at Tourism Vancouver in the Visitor Centre. As a Coordinator, she had varied responsibilities from being the on-site supervisor for the staff, to helping to manage/update the products in the point of sale system, to coordinating the 200+ volunteers. With any assignment Yuliya took the opportunity to learn and expand upon her wealth of knowledge. Her contributions in coaching and leading her colleagues was invaluable as her Manager, she took on a leadership role without question gaining the admiration and respect of the staff and volunteers in the Visitor Centre. In coordinating the 200+ volunteer team, she effortlessly manged their scheduling requests and questions. Her organization in scheduling the volunteers, creating shifts and filling vacancies behind the scenes, allowed the operation to run smoothly. During her time working with the volunteer team, I received many accolades from our volunteers regarding Yuliya's friendly and caring nature, as well as her professionalism when handling difficult situations.
