Purpose First• Served on the Purpose First Task Force with faculty, staff, and administrators to identify strategies for helping students better discern their purpose in college by exploring career development early in the college experience.• Contributed to the creation of the Purposeful Advising With Student (PAWS) module that new students must complete before meeting with an Academic Advisor. PAWS contains an introduction video, link to an interest assessment, and final survey. • Co-wrote the script for the introduction video and worked with the Visual Media Coordinator to film it. See “PAWS Introduction Video” below for the final product. • Trained Academic Advisors on career development concepts, including John Holland’s theory of vocational personalities and work environments, so that they are equipped to have conversations with students about assessment results.
