There are plenty of high efficiency and effective sales people in the world - but few and far between are the ones that also make it a priority to also contribute actively to the overall company culture and ecosystem. Especially now, it's even more imperative to actually enjoy working with someone. Not to overuse a sports cliche, but it's really apt here: Shannon is that glue guy in the room. Oh, and he's also on the top line contributing with the best in the league. I never had to micromanage Shannon, in fact the opposite. Talking macro, high level yearly goals with Shannon helped colour in the picture easier than most. If given the chance again, I'd take Shannon on my team in a heart beat.
