I was in charge of breeding mice, taking care of cages, weening/tagging/tailing pups, maintaining the DNA archives while also doing PCR and running regular gels to genotype mouse strains. I updated and recorded data on a regular basis. During my time there, I created an organized method of accessing data more efficiently and ensured that mice were treated properly. I collaborated with other labs to create a more sanitary and effective environment for the animal husbandry rooms.
