Master Thesis - Perception for Autonomous Driving
-
Jan 2019 - Sep 2019
In this work, I developed a perception pipeline to record accurate driving trajectories using infrastructure sensors. I received a 4.0 GPA by taking on the following responsibilities: • System architecture design using complementing sensor technologies and embedded computing. • Real-time object detection with neural networks. • Implementation of sensor fusion algorithms for camera and radar data. • Utilization of motion models and Bayesian filtering for multi-object tracking by state prediction on uncertain inputs. • Assessment of extracted trajectories against ground-truth data generated with differential GPS: My system detects traffic objects up to 200m with an average localization error of 0.22m with no False Negatives, demonstrating its high precision and reliability.
