Cole exudes a contagious enthusiasm that can light a fire and passion within anyone he's around. In his work with the Syracuse Entrepreneurship Club, Cole demonstrated competency and leadership in his Technology Officer role that quickly skyrocketed him to Vice-President. Now, because of efforts by Cole and his team, Syracuse University's Entrepreneurship Club is now one of the, if not the, top University entrepreneurship club in the world. Cole is also an incredible connector and can make friends in any circumstances with his warm demeanor. Cole would be an excellent and essential piece of any startup organization.

When I joined the Syracuse University Entrepreneurship Club, there were only about 8 members (on a good week). By the time I graduated, the club was 500+ members strong and earned its spot as the largest collegiate entrepreneurship organization in the US.As President, it was critical that we built the right infrastructure in anticipation of the growth. Over time, many hats were worn. Here's what I did:- Built and launched the organization's first website.- Created a sign-in system for weekly meetings.- Consistently grew membership year-over-year.- Designed and implemented the club's first membership/loyalty program.- Collaborated with other organizations across campus to increase membership.- Planned, organized and operated the organization's first-ever live pitch event.- Convinced some of the nation's top entrepreneurs to fly to Syracuse (a place with few direct flights) to speak with our members for an hour every week.- Provided the club's members with direct knowledge and insights that are rarely found in the traditional classroom environment. Featured on PCWORLD - Viral Pokémon Go website acquired within one week of launch. Built a geography-based mapping website to help users find certain items in Pokémon Go. Within 24 hours of launching, the website was featured in PCWorld and suddenly became much bigger than expected. In an explosion of growth, we were soon seeing 25,000+ unique visitors every day. Though it was never our intention to give up the reigns, several unsolicited offers had been made. By the end of the first week, the website was acquired by an outside party. As the sole employee, I built, managed and marketed the website from inception to sale. Kicktrades was an online marketplace I built where people could buy and sell the world's most coveted sneakers. In high school at the time, it was a constant battle between trying to run the business and not having my phone confiscated. It was terribly fun. Ultimately, we grew the brand almost entirely on Instagram and learned a lot along the way. Over time, we realized there was a huge opportunity to turn Kicktrades into a software company. This inspired us to build and ship features that enabled people around the world to buy the products they wanted without having to pay high reseller markups. This pivot changed the business entirely, and it was thrilling to successfully navigate this change at the age of 15. Show less
