I have had the privilege to work with Paul on multiple projects during my time at HackReactor. Paul is the ideal teammate, as he is extremely hard-working, a great communicator, and is always willing to help those in need. Paul has a gift for creating and designing beautiful looking components with clean and elegant code. One example was in his work in creating the nav-bar in our product-display application, where he was able to replicate the complicated and multi-faceted Etsy nav-bar. Paul is someone I could always count on and learned quite a bit from during our time together at HackReactor. Paul is one of a kind and will be a valuable asset to any group he is a part of in the future.

I had the honor of working with Paul on developing an application that allowed video gamers to connect with one another and throughout the experience, Paul never ceased to impress me with his immense knowledge of React and JavaScript as a whole. Paul’s leadership skills allowed our team to meet deadlines and complete an entire prototype in a week’s time. Paul’s analytical skills played a strong role in the group’s code production, as he regularly reviewed each member’s code to ensure that our components worked coherently. Although the application was created off of his vision, he welcomed each member’s ideas with open arms which allowed the team to create a product that we were passionate about. On a personal note, during my time working with Paul, he taught me how to write cleaner, more efficient code, and I believe that it improved my skills as a software engineer. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment working side by side with Paul and I would recommend him as a leader or as a member of any team.

- Managed existing components as well as the addition of a few new features including data visual graphs, data records manager page, and database status page. - Worked closely with backend engineer to create proper routes to smoothly integrate CRUD operations. - Helped with scaling the backend to properly meet the requirements of all the new features added. In addition, added a new pub-sub relationship with Nexus and with Housefront. - Collaborated with UI designer to create prototypes of exactly what our team expects and needs. - Researched any Housefront related bugs, UI issues, production team UI / feature requests. - Refactored code to better optimize customer experience by reducing clunkiness, removing unused widgets, and adding service configuration widgets for mid-show configurations.
