May 2012 - Aug 2014
-Collaborated with the Economic Development Officer on a number of community initiatives and events, including an annual Bunnock Tournament, weekly farmers’ markets, and collaborating on the Made in Alberta local food project. -Assisted in filing a backlog of land title files, as well as single-handedly cleaning, organizing, and labeling an old storage room so as to have more space for archival materials, maps, and other varied items. -Executed any necessary tasks that any office member would ask for, including poster designing, creating Excel spreadsheets, designing PowerPoint presentations, typing meeting minutes, as well as maintaining numerous social media pages. -Filled an unexpected gap in office administration when the Office Manager position was vacant and the regular Administrative Assistant had to suddenly fill the position in 2012. To alleviate the acting Manager's workload, I would answer phones, organize messages, serve ratepayers at the front counter, and do any other general tasks that would arise. Show less
