Asia Youth International Model United Nation (AYIMUN) bring the topic Public Stockholding for Food Security in Developing Countries. Issue that raised up is In current situation the food market is no longer over supplied, with recent trends indicating significant decrease or even lack of certain food products, driven by a decreasing agricultural productivity growth (driven by the move to other sectors) and increasing demand for agricultural products in international markets (driven by growing middle class populations expansion in developing countries). Understanding that issue of permanent solution for food security in developing countries, Zimbabwe purpose 3 main solution which are: (1) The type of soil in Zimbabwe is a small amount of sand that does not have a lot of nutrients so it must add nutritional value by adding fertilizer, chicken manure, cow dung. Changing dry and sandy soil into nutritious soil will help farmers in Zimbabwe or other African regions who have the same type of soil to increase their production in agriculture. (2) Establish better education for farmers regarding agriculture, so that they can be more productive. this can be done by working with other council such as United Nations, Educational, Scientific, and Culture Organizations (UNESCO) to improve the quality of education in Zimbabwe. (3) In order to be able to maintain food availability, farmer productivity must be considered, therefore farmers must improve living conditions, and increase production, process, marketing, and distribution of food and agricultural products with the main goal of eliminating hunger. Can be done by collaborating with Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. Show less
