I had the pleasure of supervising and mentoring Angie during her 3 month UX Design internship at MyCase, a cloud-based legal practice management tool. During her internship, I saw Angie excel at her primary focus -- working alongside a Senior UX Designer to produce high fidelity interactive prototypes for a legal accounting solution to be embedded in MyCase. In her role as a designer in an agile development team, Angie participated in customer discovery calls and usability testing, designed low and hi-fidelity prototypes, and crafted a well-researched journey map to help team members deeply understand the experience personas have and identify opportunities to even better meet user needs. She exceeded my expectations at every turn by delivering well thought out design solutions that follow our design system and delighted customers. Angie adapted quickly to a fast-paced agile environment, built a solid understanding of our customers in short order, and rapidly gained the knowledge required in order to design for the complexities of legal accounting. Over the summer, I saw Angie gain confidence and hone her skills as a well-rounded, research-driven UX Designer. As Angie's internship comes to a close, I will miss her spunky personality, light hearted humor and humble approach to her work. I look forward to following her career that promises to be very bright.
