  Started out as a part-time bakery clerk. Duties involved layout, baking, and packaging of cookies. Would also stock the sales floor of bakery department with items on hand. Other duties involved writing cake/party trays orders down, writing on cakes, slicing bread for customers. Cleaning duties involved sweeping the floor, hosing it down, and squeegeeing, as well as cleaning the oven floor, cooler floor, and proofer floor according to a cleaning schedule. Would also clean out the donut box and markdown any remaining donuts for the day. Later on, I would be promoted to third shift baker. For this job, I would prep the dough, let it rise in the proofer then bake. Would bake then slice sandwich breads and artisan breads for the sales floor. Would package up baked bread and label then stock the sales floor. Also had to slice day old bread and put back out for quick sale. Would then bake and decorate single serve donuts and set up the donut box. Towards the end of shift, had to break out dough for thawing for next day. Ending duties involved sweeping and wiping down of workstation. If time permitted, I would help put away supplies on supply day and would help start markdowns.
