It was so much fun to professionalize Springest's finance department, while she and I were learning from our external experts. In The Netherlands and Germany, more than 6.600 providers offer their courses via Springest, and we have collected more than 110.000 reviews. Springest Go is our Learning Platform for companies. Springest Go empowers employees with the tools to find and book the course they need to grow, taking away the HR departments’ administrative burden while giving employees control over their learning and development. When I was fifteen, I rearranged the cafeteria of the football club where I volunteered - from category to process. Suddenly, working there was a lot more pleasant for my colleague and me and we started making a lot more money. How much more? I have no clue - I was fifteen. In the words of the manager: ‘a lot more’. I think this is where it all started. Here’s what I did after that: > As editor of an NGO’s media team at one of their international events, I turned around the traditional, drawn-out creative process leading up to one huge delivery moment to a series of short sprints with frequent check-ins. Result: 30% more articles and 50% more night’s rest for the team. > As employee at a (failed) start-up, I reorganised the CRM-process and helped the sales-team perform 20% better. This is where I discovered my interest in online processes. > As sales-employee at one of The Netherlands’ largest e-commerce companies, I hit my targets but felt out of place - too much standardised work, not enough helping people perform better. > I organised multiple events for an international NGO, including a training weekend for which I still hold the records for most participants and highest satisfaction rating. I managed to achieve this by working from the participants’ success criteria (instead of the organisation’s) and by introducing one wow-factor (and therefore deciding not to invest in many details). > As co-founder of PandaMedia (the predecessor of PandaProgram), I helped companies get their story straight and tell it better. We did projects for NGO’s, in real estate, and in creative services. I’m most proud of restructuring the sales flow of an NGO’s website. Their turnover went up with 40%, because the website started ‘behaving’ like clients expected. Show less
