Andy Harding has a passion for his clients and there goals, he has unbeatable knowledge in his field and has helped us over every hurdle thrown at him to achieve our objective and more. Having had our Patent granted in the UK we are now going further with our options and of course, with Andy. My practice involves securing patent and design protection in the UK, Europe and across the world. I graduated from Cardiff University with a first class Masters degree in Integrated Engineering, combining aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering. My engineering background allows me to handle applications in a wide range of subject matter, from mechanical inventions to electrical, telecoms and computer inventions. I have particular experience in the fields of engine technology, consumer products, ejection seats, laboratory analytical apparatus, tribology, building construction, mattresses, medical devices, materials sciences, data compression and telecom protocols. I regularly advise on infringement matters, including the policing and enforcement of my clients' intellectual property (IP) rights against infringers and advising on the potential infringement and validity of third party IP rights. I represent clients of all sizes, from large multinational corporations to private individuals. I particularly enjoy assisting start-up ventures in unlocking the value of their IP to secure development funding. More recently, I have advised clients on the use of the Patent Box scheme to reduce corporation tax. I have represented clients in successful opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich. Consequently, although based in London, I regularly spend time in our Munich office, to attend hearings and hold interviews with examiners. Show less
