Kailtyn has been a great leadership assistant in our office. She has also been an effective and outstanding leader for LEB. She works really hard in the LEAD Scholars selection process and been exceptional while presenting during the admissions' open houses. She exhibits strong leadership skills, wonderful written and oral communication skills, and presents well in front of students and parents. I have been impressed with her work since I met her in her freshmen year at UCF. I would recommend her for any role or job.
Natalie V. Torres
I supervise Kaitlyn in her role as the LEB Executive Director with the LEAD Scholars Academy at the University of Central Florida. As a leader and a staff member in the office, Kaitlyn is one of the most dependable, organized, and creative students I've ever had the privilege to work with. Every one of her projects begins with a strong brainstorming session where she presents intentional ideas that take both her organization's capabilities and her audience's needs into account. She has supervised other student leaders in recruiting efforts, including presenting in person and virtually to incoming first-year students on a large scale. Kaitlyn is methodical in her planning, making sure to plan her time effectively and delegate tasks effectively. Additionally, she has a strong pulse on the needs of her team and makes sure to take into account every teammates scope and unique talents. Kaitlyn is truly an effective professional both in group settings and independently, and any organization would be fortunate to work with her.

I motivated and supported incoming students in their pursuit of leadership development throughout college. Whether it was through written emails, one-on-one conversations, or open house sessions, I connected with these students to share information about what we do and the benefits it can have on their future aspirations. Over the course of the last year, I have had the pleasure of: - Introducing Virtual Open Houses: Increasing program accessibility and engagement, gathering 250 registrants across over 30% of the country. - Streamlining our mailing process: Created over 800 hours of service opportunities for members of our program and mailed nearly 15,000 letters to incoming UCF students. - Updating the student admissions system: Implementing a new interviewer-to-interviewee matching process, advocating for the introduction of a bias training, and instituting the "Extenuating Circumstances" section on applications in an effort to increase diversity and inclusion within the program. - Conducting in-depth service hour research: Compiling the service hours, agencies, submission dates, and geographic location, etc. to provide prospective students with up-to-date information and strengthen relationships with current partners. - Created the "Service Matching System": Using data from the service research, this platform matched current LEAD Scholars (400+ students) with a volunteer opportunities based on their specific preferences.
