I first knew Andrew as the designer-turned-PM who wore cool button-down shirts to the office. Then Andrew and I were grouped together in a first-of-its kind (for the company) cross-functional team oriented around a strategic pillar of the business. Our team essentially proved out a model of working: that clustered different disciplines around key business metrics; that integrated design, product and engineering into all stages of the product development process; and that enabled semi-autonomous, continuous discovery and delivery of features. We accomplished so much in a year or two! Andrew functioned as the product manager. I functioned as the lead designer, and with the lead engineer in tow we formed a

I am a new product manager and have been working with Andrew for guidance, resources, and overall growth in the product field. Andrew has been an amazing mentor, providing very thoughtful feedback. He does a great job of looking at challenges from multiple perspectives, and subsequently breaking those down into actionable steps that a product manager can take to find solutions. Andrew is able to draw upon his depth of experience in the field of product management, as well as his very current understanding of emerging resources, tactics, and methodology, to recommend areas of study to new PMs. I’ve found all his recommendations extremely helpful and have grown my own knowledge base substantially by following his recommendations. As a new product manager the field can be very overwhelming, but having Andrew as a resource has made tackling the challenges of PM much more attainable and has helped me grow significantly in the field.
