      Gabriel was CFO and COO of educ.ar, a digital education company in Argentina, backed by Martin Varsavsky and owned by the National Ministry of Education Science and Technology, where he spent 3 years during which time he built a nationwide plan to implement IT and broadband infrastructure in the entire public educational system with 30,000 schools. The plan was financed by a $260m loan from Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Educ.ar included an online e-learning platform with the entire curricula of educational content for all elementary and high school level students across the country, which aimed to reach more than 11million students, an online platform for Universities to deliver e-learning support in higher education, and was also driving the training programs for teachers on how to use technology in the class rooms to improve the learning process. Gabriel also worked with developing educ.ar's e-learning platform and execution of the infrastructure plan. He was responsible for overall financial planning, budgeting and financing process, with business partly funded by both National Ministry of Education and Ministry of Economy. He led a management group, comprised of 4 departments, being responsible for annual budgets and bid processes for execution of infrastructure plan and negotiations with local and international suppliers across the IT, Software and telecommunications space.Gabriel successfully managed the company as CFO and COO during the 2001-2002 financial and political crisis in Argentina.
