Head-up multi-disciplined department responsible for infrastructure delivery of major telecom & IT implementations into Oil & Gas clients throughout Qatar. Projects are usually EPIC, commencing at pre-FEED stage, involving fibre & civil works, structured cabling, SDH/PDH/IP/MPLS/FTTx, VoIP, WiMax, Microwave & NMS. Full project budget, P&L and life cycle responsibility from pre-contract, through design, implementation & commissioning to Customer operational hand-over. Projects are typically delivered nationally into petrochemical environments or large multinationals. Annual project CAPEX values approx $20M USD. Additionally my dept is involved in conceptual design and subsequent FEED documentation creation..

Budgetary responsibility for $12.5M of third party costs, including evaluation, selection and managing key suppliers. Supporting pre-sales and landing party operations. Overseeing regulatory compliance and co-ordination of permitting applications in both Japan & USA. Additionally chairing working groups with in-county partners to ensure on-time delivery of cable landing stations.

Senior Engineer

Project managed implementation of FLAG’s global city PoP roll-out. This involved working closely with several suppliers to ensure the on time completion of more than thirty sites globally. These projects extending FLAG’s backbone capacity from cable stations into major cities enabling the delivery of SDH transport and IP access services at rates. Once operational I co-ordinated 3rd line engineering support, resolving technical issues and offering vendor escalation paths.
