  I interned with iParadigms based in Oakland. They develop software to prevent academic integrity violations. With increased content availability students are more likely to plagiarize. Turnitin compares submitted papers to Internet content and papers that have been submitted in the past. I mostly worked with lead generation and research. For example spread sheets of college research deans and their contact information.



Carolina for Kibera

  I spent three weeks volunteering in Kibera, Kenya (the largest slum in Africa). I received generous donations from PureDigital and Apple of 10 flip video cameras and two iMacs. I worked closely with a team of four Kiberan youths educating them on how to use video content to reach a wider global audience. We then, together, created a YouTube channel and posted our video content concerning the hardships and struggles that people of the slum face daily.
