As Legal Counsel, reporting to VP Legal Services & General Counsel, I supported HHS' Executive Leadership broadly, including advising on strategy, organizational ethics, compliance and risk management initiatives across the organization. As Chief Privacy Officer, I led the Privacy and Freedom of Information Office at HHS. I oversaw the day-to-day privacy and freedom of information functions, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and managed a team of privacy professionals who support privacy initiatives at institutional, regional and provincial levels. I worked closely with the Chief Information Security Officer and the Procurement Teams at HHS to implement new technologies, maximizing operational and economic efficiencies.
