Nitin Gulati is a very practical and hands-on engineer. He has a strong work ethic and showed dilligence on every project. He worked on a variety of projects with different levels of complexity. He was the go to person for concrete and is quite the talent at steel design. Most of all, Nitin worked around the clock to meet project deadlines. Nitin's field experience is extensive. He is well remembered for his work in ensuring that PT profiles met construction document specifications and responded to field related issues in a timely manner. He is personable and always open to constructive critisms. It was always a joy to approach him with engineering challenges and he gladly helped. Outside the office, he is the avid cricket player. I highly recommend Nitin for a structural position in any reputable A&E, Structual Engineering or Design-Build firm.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER & STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - Confidential (2020-Present) Project Management and Field Operations - 200,000SF and over $100 million dollar budget LEAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - BUILD IT BACK HOUSING REPAIR, NEW YORK, NY (2014-2018, 2019-2020) As primary contractor for the Build It Back Housing Repair project, I pioneered and played a lead role in elevating and rehabilitating several houses damaged by Hurricane Sandy with a budget of over $150 million dollar. Established the best construction practices with city agencies to lay the foundation of the program. As the Lead Construction Project Manager, I initiated, planned, executed, monitored, controlled, and closed out the project which included dozens of single and duplex-type residential houses. I evaluated design effectiveness and construction documents and project estimates with the owner and design team. I hired and supervised several subcontractors and onsite staff, coordinated the day to day work, and prepared monthly project payment requisitions. Additionally, I worked with attorneys on claims and litigations. I shared lessons learned with the city and several other contractors who later joined the program and received an accolade by the special inspection agency for running the project effectively. CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER - GREENPOINT EMS STATION, BROOKLYN, NY (2011-2014) I led and executed the award-winning Emergency Medical Services station project as part of Mayor Bloomberg’s Design Excellence Program. I completed the end-to-end project management from initiation to closeout for the 12,400 SF project with a budget of approx. $10 million dollar. I supervised tradespeople, presented monthly subcontractor project payment requisitions, hired required staff, coordinated day-to-day work schedules, oversaw building sites, and developed and negotiated change orders.
