Boris heeft in de zomer van 2019 deelgenomen aan het landelijke project

Clemens Dransfeld

I was the tutor of a students team doing the design synthesis projects (similar to the bachelor thesis) at TU Delft Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, the students had to design an autonomous fixed-wing biodegradable drone "EcoGlide" for blood supply in pandemic regions, a very challenging assignment requiring the team to think out of the box and to come up with unconventional ideas. Boris had the role of a project manager, he always proactively kept everybody up to date, anticipated challenges, and valued team member's contributions. Next to his interest in management and organization, he also did nice work on the autonomous temperature control of the blood supply through phase change materials. It was a pleasure to work with Boris and wish him all the best for his further career.

As founder of the award winning business 'Freerunning Zeeland' I manage a team of around 20 enthusiastic freerunning coaches, many of whom I've trained myself. We provide clinics, organise events and start new freerunning groups for sports clubs. Since inception, we have significantly increased the popularity of freerunning in Zeeland, given loads of clinics to hundreds of youngsters (e.g. through KIBEO's after school program), more than doubled the amount of freerunning groups in place, and introduced a yearly freerunning championship. I founded and managed the AE Discord servers and WhatsApp group chats along with a team of administrators and moderators. These communication channels served as a hub for students to collaborate on homework, exam preparation, share aerospace news, and more. At the time of my departure, the Discord server had over 900 members and the 20+ WhatsApp chats were thriving communities.Through these channels, my team of ambassadors and I gained a strong understanding of the needs and desires of the student body, allowing us to effectively advise Athena on branding, advertising strategies, and course offerings. • Head coach Freerunning
      • Feb 2013 - Sep 2020

I started the freerunning division for Deltasport in 2013 and ran this division (nearly) autonomously. We grew to be the fourth largest freerunning group within the Dutch Gymnastics Union with more than ten coaches and interns and multiple weekly training sessions for 100+ students. We've also started a selection group that partakes in competitions successfully and often organise special summer activities, competitions, demos etc. (Most of these special activities became part of Freerunning Zeeland upon its inception.) • Advisory design role for schoolyard
      • Apr 2018 - Jun 2018

I worked with the Jan louis de Jonge school board to incorporate freerunning into their playground as part of a major schoolyard overhaul. I assessed existing plans, proposed alterations as well as an alternative conceptual design and checked compliance with NEN norms. After the larger part of the budget for the schools playground was unfortunately revoked, the focus shifted to low cost alterations that would yield maximum freerunning-potential.

After finishing the first year of my AE BSc I took a gap year to pursue a unique opportunity to generate income by leveraging my skills in a specific niche of a video game I played. I was highly skilled at player-versus-player combat and made significant amounts of in-game currency through high-risk battles. In order to maximize my earnings, I employed various trading strategies on the in-game exchange to grow my wealth, such as buying low and selling high, investing in items with high demand, and predicting market trends. I then sold the in-game currency for real money through online marketplaces. In addition to making gold, I also invented and implemented two highly effective techniques for player-versus-player combat, one of which was widely adopted by the community. I also created successful YouTube and founded clans with over 50 members. Show less
