Marketing Assistant

ID Homes are an interior design and building renovations agency located in the picturesque setting of Bath, Somerset. ID Homes create stunning interiors akin to Abagail Ahern or Myra Hoefer, tirelessly working to turn any house into a home. In my role as marketing assistant I was responsible for helping in a number of areas, from designing & distributing marketing material to sourcing furniture for client's homes. Knuckkling down with the admin and marketing tasks allowed me to develop and hone a number of skills like presentation, liaising & negotiating with clients and suppliers on the phone as well as in person to overseeing and managing busy worksites. As with most aspects of renovations and construction there's a substantial need for 'hands on work'. I was regularly tasked with working extra hours (often well into the night) overseeing and chipping in with the plastering, painting and even kitchen fitting to ensure that the project was completed on time and to the clients agreed spec.

Internship

While studying for my A levels, i was lucky enough to secure a sort after work placement with Bristol law firm, Bond Pierce LLP.My first foray into busy office life, my internship allowed me to see first hand the pace & skill needed to work at a top tier law firm. During my time at Bond Pearce I was able to assist in the creation and curation of case notes, production and proofing of client briefs as well as providing additional research for a number of cases.The fact that I was given the chance to work across multiple departments from real estate law to transport and infrastructure meant that I was able to experience a sizeable chunk of the legal sector in a relatively small space of time.While studying the minutiae of legal practices, I learnt many valuable skills and realised the almost critical value of having well structured and researched pieces of work, and be able to deliver against tight deadlines.
